IT Requirements
The success of Inreach depends on weekly interactive web conferences which allows for real-time interaction between the researchers, students and teachers.

Inreach uses a webcam and an external microphone for web conferences. These can be supplied by the DRSA. Access to a SmartBoard assists with student interaction, but it is not necessary to operate Inreach. We use Adobe Connect for our web conferences.
Inreach can operate on tablets (i.e. iPads) and individual laptops.
It is strongly advised to have a school IT professional on-hand during the first session with Inreach.
Teachers must have access to the Control Panel on their computer/laptop in order to configure the sound and audio. When setting up for Inreach, it is important to have the microphone positioned away from the speakers. The further the speakers are from the microphone, the better.
